Let me say how pleased I am about the music at First Baptist Church of Cutler Ridge. We fully understand that it is only in Jesus Christ that we are reconciled to God. I am thankful that we give music a place in our worship, but it is not the music that we worship. As I have said several times music reaches us on a different level, on an emotional level, however, while our salvation is emotional, salvation is not an emotion. Salvation is a fact and the truth of that fact is found only in Jesus Christ. This article states, Scripture is full of exhortations to God’s people to sing and make music to the Lord. Our God has been gracious to give us this means to worship Him. But it is important to understand that music in our worship is for two specific purposes: to honor God and to edify our fellow believers. So, what do you think? - Pastor Terry
