Let me share something with you guys. This morning I had to deal - TopicsExpress

Let me share something with you guys. This morning I had to deal with the people that left this senior dog in their vehicle without the windows cracked. They said it was cool enough outside for him to be in there. It was 70 degress outside. Wanna guess just how hot and stuffy it was on the Inside? Long story short, I searched and searched for the owners for a little over an hour. Went back out to the parking lot, and asked everyone that went by if they knew the owners. Finally the owners showed up and got very nasty with me. They told me to mind my own business, and that they are very responsible pet owners. (Yeah, okay) Also, not to post the video I took or photos online or they would sue me. (Im scared... no seriously, they can bite me.) THEN, after dealing with this, tonight I saw another SUV with 2 dogs in it with all the windows down as far as they would go, but no owners. Do we have to go back to Safety 101 here folks??? It is not safe nor responsible for either one of these situations. If your windows are all the way up, then your dog can/will suffocate and die; no matter what the temperature. If your windows are down more than a few inches then your dog can either jump out and get seriously hurt and/or run away, someone can steal your dog right out of your vehicle, or do some serious damage to your dog because he/she is exposed to the elements. I cannot emphasize this enough - If you are going to take your dogs out with you, PLEASE make sure they can go where you go, if they cannot PLEASE leave them at home, where they are safe.
