Let me share twenty-nine thoughts on my twenty-ninth - TopicsExpress

Let me share twenty-nine thoughts on my twenty-ninth birthday. 1. My most prized possessions are: my family, my fiance, my friends, and my...stuffed toys. 2. God is good to everyone all the time! 3. There are times that we are too busy to pray. So when the time comes that we are praying too hard but nothing happens, let’s feel as if God has forgotten us. Maybe Hes also busy trying to grant other peoples MORE IMPORTANT and MORE URGENT prayers. There’s always His perfect time. 4. The mirror may not always reflect the truth about your beauty. Some mirrors are distorted. Dont be in front of them; otherwise, youll end up frustrated about your face. 5. Stop trying to be anyone else because you never can and you never will. There is one and only YOU, and that person is beautifully and wonderfully made. 6. I’m always makulit. If I’m not, perhaps, I’m just hungry. Feed me ANYTHING except, beef, pork, soft drinks…hmm…please just text me for a more elaborate list. 7. 70% of our lives is dedicated to study and work. All these years, I have spent 30% on studying and working; and 70% on PRAYING (for me to be able to finish school and to be successful at work). Thats what I call BALANCE. 8. There have been countless times when I have been asked why I don’t look like my mom. Here goes: I was created by two wonderful people. Unfortunately, I inherited the other person’s genes. So don’t ask me again, or else, I’ll boil you alive. 9. One can never go wrong with kindness. Yes, it may sound cliche, but no one will ever sue you or argue with you if you are kind all the time. 10. I never liked watching movies with predictable endings. Its just like eating the same burger and trying to guess if it will taste like spaghetti. 11. Its really hard to compose a 29-bullet message. Seriously. And Im just on the 11th! 12. We should never take our bodies for granted. There will never ever be factories in this world that will manufacture spare parts. 13. I have never believed in superstitions. I grew up in a traditional, conservative family, but I had my own views on life. We always have the right to explore what we want to know. 14. Your family roots will not say so much about you and what you will achieve in life. Except YOUR GENES. If you have beautiful genes, be grateful! If not, let me get this straight, theres always reconstructive surgery, ok? Calm your toes. 15. It usually takes me a few hours before I post a message on anyone’s wall for just a simple greeting. I carefully meditate on what I want to say to send out a positive vibe to the person reading it. After all, it’s supposed to be a celebration. 16. People never really bother reading long wall posts, so if you’re reading this as far as 16th, type 16 on the comment box! 17. I have met a lot of the most amazing people in my entire biography! You’re one of them. Yes, you! I’m talking to you. 18. What you are is God’s gift to you; what you’ve become is your gift to Him…and to your parents who have cradled you in their arms long before your husband/wife ever met you. Be grateful to your folks. 19. The people who can hurt you are those people who really mean so much to you. Your enemies can never hurt you as much as those you love. 20. I’m still wondering about many things. Like how the fax machine sends messages and why tape receipts at groceries fade so fast. 21. Those who love you will never require an explanation from you; those who dont love you, will never appreciate your explanation. 22. The first few people who greeted me on my 29th birthday, are those people whom I haven’t seen and haven’t talked to for ages! 23. Inspire yourself every day. No one will do it for you on a daily basis. 24. In our lives, we can have so many friends and a lot of people around us. But let us value who we love the most. 25. We can never have perfect lives, but we can always CREATE perfect moments! 26. LOVE always makes you a better person. 27. I have always liked cotton candy, ice cream and chocolates. Though many people warn me about sugar content, let me remind you that it is not and never will be a crime. Indulge as much as you can tolerate! 28. I figured that despite trying to many times, I have never learned how to draw nor will I ever be able to. I just have to compensate with the fact that Im pretty...pretty enough to be the subject of anyones drawing. 29. And yes, all these years, I figured that my 6th sense is actually called SENSE OF HUMOR. Hey, its always free to smile. Cheers, everyone! God bless!
