Let me share with you just how much God loves us... Since I was a child this has been a favorite song of mine. It calms me. I love the melody. I love the words. When Kirk Asbury passed on to his heavenly home, this song brought me comfort. I found myself singing it over and over for months. As we approach the anniversary of Kirks home going next Sunday I find myselfc with heightened emotions. This morning I woke with tears on my face and memories rolling through my mind like a fast forward movie. I got up, got dressed, and headed to church. Now heres where it gets good... Im sitting on my seat with my emotions all over the place when the pianist began to play this song. Thats how much God loves me. So, although I do not plan to spend the week being sad, Im sure I will feel waves of emotions come and go. I do plan to remember as many good times as I can and celebrate the life Kirk lived. I also plan to be thankful for all God has brought me through this year and for Him giving me someone to hold my hand, who understands more than anyone else I know, exactly how I feel.
