Ive had this onyx ring over 4 months and just as I was about to revise it, I mysteriously was contacted by Bonnie Lee Potterton inquiring if I would consider shipping to Canada. On her profile, she introduced herself as a retired lawyer, takes pride in her honesty and people have told her that shes a nice person. Ever met an honest lawyer who was a nice person? Me neither. After I told Bonnie a little bit about myself, she changed her profile photo and stated that she was worked as a secretary at a law firm and is an HONEST person and takes pride in that. Because I am an honest person and dont use eBay labels, I told Bonnie that I would refund the $5 difference in Shipping After the transaction had been completed. She wrote back and told me that she will gladly accept the $7.00 back in shipping. At that time, I knew that I had a problem child on my hands, and I set firm limits with her. She contacted me yesterday and told me that she has yet to receive her $5.00 refund. I went to USPS and plugged in the customs number and noticed that she received her ring. I issued Bonnie her $5.00 refund and asked her if the ring met her expectations. She responded, My huband just got the mail and your ring was in the mailbox. Its elegant and I will be a repeat customer! With that, she left me positve feedback. This is the email that she sent me this morning : Hello France upon further inspection the ring is not as described! The 0.02 diamond is broken/missing quite a large piece of the stone. Also France the ring is listed as white gold and it is yellow gold? There is a piece of gold missing on the top right hand side as per your picture you showed and that piece of onyx is exposed! I am so upset, it didnt register that it was yellow gold instead of white gold until. I inspected the ring with a jewelers loop, because I was waiting for my other jewelry purchases in which some were yellow gold and some were silver pieces. So what do you suggest I do regarding this ring. I left feedback on your Ebay page too quickly. Very disappointed France, I just cant and wont wear the ring the way it is. (damaged!) People who purchase Pieces of scrap gold and silver, are Mom and Pop shops heckling at sellers to purchase their gold, sterling silver and diamonds at meldown prices. Bonnie took her jewelers loop to find fault with the ring. If you look for fault, youre going to find it. The 0.02 (Tiny) diamond is broken, Bonnie said. Did Bonnie break the Diamond as she attempted to remove it for herself? What do you think? I never met a person who purchased an onyx ring for a 0.02 diamond or introduced themselves as an attorney and changed her profile to, She was a secretary for a law firm,, but theres a first for everything. A jeweler would have replaced the broken. tiny diamond with a CZ and nobody would have known the difference. She took a jewelers loop and is asking me if the ring is white or yellow gold. If you look at the photos of the onyx ring, it appears to be white gold. But then again, I dont own a jewelers loop nor do I nitpick my eBay sellers. Bonnie said that there was a missing piece of gold on the right hand BEZEL cut that holds the onyx. I refunded Bonnie $10.00, but shes still isnt happy with a ring that she paid $112.00 - $5.00 for difference in shipping minus $10.00 credit and wants a full refund. She continues, She inspected the ring with her magnifying glass because shes waiting for other jewelry purchases, some of which is yellow gold and silver. I pray for that eBay seller. Theres a reason why Bonnie wont buy her jewelry from a Jewelry store. Shes niggardly and doesnt want to pay three times the amount of what the ring is worth and she wont get to do what she does best, argue whos in charge. Another thing that is upsetting Bonnie is that she left me Positive feedback. I just cant and wont wear the ring the way it is. (Damaged!). I was so excited to receive the ring at an affordable price that honestly I did not realize it was in yellow gold instead of white! So I looked up your listing again to be sure it was white gold I had ordered. I was expecting shipments of jewelry from other jewelry stores some yellow gold and some silver and white gold. France, it is a lovely ring but it is not in mint condition. To have it repaired will cost too much. I find it hard to believe that you didnt see how much damage was done to the bezel around the diamond and the missing piece of diamond or the missing gold exposing the onyx, I could feel the edge of the onyx on the ring.
