Let me tell you about today...dementia comes and goes due to the meds that Amanda is on. She has been thinking that she was going to Florida today and tomorrow to present her doctorate that will be published soon. She already mentally had her blue luggage packed and was with Johnna Paraiso and Mark Hunter. Then she became very upset because she could not find her blue notebook that she carried on the Ambulance with her. It took me several hours to figure out what my lady was referring to. She kept saying that her doctorate was in that book and she lost it. That she forgot it and that she would have to write It all over again. I went to the bedroom where all her doctorate books and binders are and look why i could!!! Her blue book with her doctorate on it! (the flash drive) I then gave her her book and the tears of joy that ran down her face were fairy tale quality. It was as if this was the sugar on top, the happily ever after that she needed. She then surprised us all and wanted to sit in her wheel chair. She sat there talking with the boys for a good hour and then Grammy gave her a meal fit for a king er, queen and not thinking that the day could get any grandeur, the smile that followed that meatloaf and taters meal was amazing. I am so thankful for these memories. She doesnt remember much due to the meds, but we will never forget it. I love you Gabriella!
