Let me try to dispel some of your indoctrination. People like to - TopicsExpress

Let me try to dispel some of your indoctrination. People like to feel good about themselves for doing good, where others dont. I dont drink, I dont smoke, I dont cuss...you know, THOSE type of people. We all have our personal preferences and tolerance levels. They can even change during the course of a week or a day. The fact that you dont do something that others do, isnt a reflection of how good you are, or how bad the other person is, its just individual preference. We, in this Nation especially, but across the globe; have been indoctrinated by various Institutions to view certIn behavior as bad, not because it actually is inherently, but because someone is overlaying their opinions upon the reality of others, from a real or perceived position of authority. Let use the police as an example. They have the most inhumane, unjust, corrupt and morally reprehensible job on the planet, yet they are likely to feel most entitled to support, praise and emulation, due to their strong indoctrination. These people are human like everyone else, yet are given the authority to enforce their ideals upon the public, even while shielding these same behaviors in officers in their ranks. There are few people open minded enough to police others, because few people are willing or able to be objective. The high ground is not available to all, and is not to be defined by petty individualism, but by what sustains life and peaceful society. Because of our societal failures and indoctrination, we segregate ourselves according to various standards, refusing to realize that we are all the same, whether you curse, or I smoke, or they drink. Your message, or mine, may not come represented and packaged into a person whom you approve of, why should it? Those who are like you, and that you approve of....are doing the same things you are. How will that lead to any fresh Understanding? The answers lie outside the box. This concludes my rant for today.
