Let`s be honest. It is hard to cling to faith, let alone boldly witness for Christ, when co-workers, neighbors, friends, other professing believers, and even family mock and scoff at our beliefs - labelling them old fashioned, narrow minded, or even crazy. It`s all too tempting to shrink back, or perhaps even be ashamed of a belief system that is directly opposite of the world around us. However, to truly live for Christ, you will have to accept and be completely fine with being labelled as narrow minded or crazy by most people. Yes, you will battle against feelings of doubt or temptation to sin as you journey through this world. But in the end, this isn`t a fair fight. Sin and doubt can`t win when measured against the power and authority of God Almighty! Whatever your call and vocation, counting the cost and following Jesus lead to the same conclusion: compared to the eternal weight of glory, this ever fading world doesn`t stand a chance. Thanks be to God who has already given us the victory through faithfulness to Jesus Christ! It will NOT be easy to keep our faith amid a modern culture of counterfeit lukewarmness and compromise, but it WILL certainly be worth it! Realize the Authority you have in Christ to walk above your situations or circumstances, and keep your faith thriving, alive and genuine in this present world and on into eternity!
