Let´s start with something SPECIAL !! :-) DOOM (id Software, 1993, PC, registered version 1.1) ..scientists have opened a gateway straight to Hell Special? In a lot of ways to me! -THIS box is still the original box that I´ve bought back then in 1993 -I´ve bought this one together with my older brother -iddqd, chainsaw, BFG! -We played it countless hours; single and multiplayer mode -Thanks to DOOM I learned so much about computers and networks Well.. you had to because it was most the time a scenario like this: Try to get a third and sometimes a fourth computer (from friends) connected to our Ethernet network (10BASE2, Ethernet, BNC connector/ cabling, T-pieces??? -> Good old stuff!!). Took easily two hours to set everything up. Same network cards and same drivers were really helpful back than ;-) -Our dad didn´t like the game (chainsaw?) and asked us (couple of times) to un-install it. Thanks, dad (seriously! education is important!)!! No need to introduce the game or lose any words about its success or importance to the gaming industry. Happy New Year ;-) !!! PS. Will 2015 be again the year of DOOM (4)?
