Let the truth be told... Im a bad man, Im pretty, born in Hawaii raised in the Windy City. My walk is cool, my talk is cool and my rule is chill if you will. A scholar at Harvard not to be bought or corrupted by the almighty dollar. Pres there Pres now in wonderment people say wow and how? One speech enabled me to reach, teach and some say eloquently preach. My nemesis screamed: the nerve of this community organizer with no experience what a dope knowing all the while I wrote the Audacity of Hope. My mantra was: Yes We Can and now I proudly say: Yes We Did. In the beginning I proved to be a go getter starting with my first bill named after Lilly Ledbetter. A man of word might I ask again, where is the man behind 911 Osama Bin Laden? I did not let Detroit go bankrupt and for good reason our auto industry is back, its like a new season. Wars ended, immigrants and Cubans befriended. Gays have a brighter way while workers are poised for higher pay. Millions previously unisured and/or uninsurable now have Obamacare because I dared yes, I care. My approval ratings were low and thats how it goes especially when lies are accepted and others just dont know. Economic disaster is no longer looming, get ready set, our economy is about to be booming! Now Americans can to see me for who I am and always was without paying attention to the unrelenting negative buzz. Your pockets are fatter so now my accomplishments matter okay, tell them to bring it on now that senseless chitter chatter. Change aint easy especially for the queasy its typically difficult and usually never breezy. All that I did was done for you yes, even haters, non-participators and your crew. As long as your flag is red, white and blue I committed my life and love to you. In closing, I would be remise if I did not mention my wife, my bell, The First Lady, Michelle. Without her this rhythmic portrait of my historic accomplishments would have never happened. She is not merely my soulmate but an integral part of my soul. The backbone and courage you see is a fusion of ours strengths together not just me. Inseperable we are as the alluring scent of a beautiful flower to the life bearing honey bee. Thank you God for giving Michelle to me.
