“Let those who fear the LORD say, "His steadfast love endures forever." Out of my distress I called on the LORD; the LORD answered me and set me free. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Psalms 118:4-6 ESV Have you ever had that friend that stick closer than a brother? I think about one of my dad’s best friends. It seemed that no matter where we moved or what was going on in our lives Don was always around and was always a part of my dad’s life. Now Don’s wife of many, many years is struggling with cancer and my dad is there for Don. Not everyone has a friend like this; in fact you should consider yourself lucky if you have a friend like this because they don’t come around very often. The greatest thing about Jesus is He is that friend to anyone who will call on Him. The word of God says he sticks closer than a brother and is always; yes ALWAYS there for you. He will never leave you or forsake you no matter what you have done in your life – Jesus is waiting there for you and will respond when you call. I pray you are not feeling lonely today but if you are call on Jesus and know true love. Love that is unconditional and is a very present help in times of need; God loves you and wants a relationship with you. Just tell him you need Him and want Him and He will come into your life.
