Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Dearly beloved, A young girl wanted to marry a boy whom she liked and expressed her desire to her parents. But they prayed much and said to her, “Dear, we don’t feel that this boy would look after you well. So let us look out for somebody who will be suitable for you.” But the girl flatly refused and said firmly that God had shown him to be her life partner. The wedding took place. Within 6 months, he deserted her when she was carrying his child in her womb. Only then she regretted for losing the peace in her life out of her own desire. Yes dear ones, giving room for our own desires without waiting on the Lord or submitting ourselves to His will, will bring such a pitiable end. Today, many youngsters take wrong decisions basing on their own desires and lusts and finally shed bitter tears of remorse. Further, a namesake prayer without any faith will not be heard. If we pray, looking only at our inadequacies and needs and carry our burdens without looking up to the Lord Jesus who is the author and finisher of faith (Hebrews 12:2), we will never have faith. First of all, we need to submit all our worries and burdens to the Lord. Then we should pray and make supplications with thanksgiving. Then the Lord will give us the peace which surpasses all understanding and hear our prayer (Philippians 4;6,7). Dearly beloved, the Scriptures are given by the Lord! The Bible says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). Today, only a very few read these words diligently and earnestly. Reading the Bible and offering prayers based on its teachings is the right kind of prayer as mentioned in the above verse. So when you analyze the above mentioned facts, examine the reason for your prayers for remaining unanswered and rectify yourself. The Lord will surely answer your prayers and fill you with His divine blessings. Dearly beloved, lift up your eyes to the Lord. Seek His will to make good decisions and rely on Him for all your needs. He will guide you with His wisdom and richly provide all your needs. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, I pray with thanksgiving. I submit myself to your will and wait on You for your direction. I give my worries and burdens to You. Please help me to make right decisions based on your guidance. Give me the peace that surpasses all understanding. Answer my prayers and fill me with your divine blessings. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen. ----
