Let us now look at how many laws were broken in this PSA by the Child: 1. the kid stole a firearm (Illegal in every state), 2. The kid carried the loaded firearm without a permit to do so (Illegal in all but 4 states), (Unlawful possession of a firearm -again illegal), 3. The kid ignored the gun free zone and brought a firearm onto a school campus (Illegal) - From an Instructors point of view: The parents should have had the firearm in a locked safe or drawer (Ethical and legal). When the kid first steals the gun notice that when he picked it up his finger is on the trigger in violation of safe gun handling rules and that is often when negligent discharges happen. What this video tells me is that the Anti-Gun Lobby groups like Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America think the gun is the problem. It would be better for them to help raise more awareness and safety instruction. Shannon Watts should work with the NRA News and instruct all kids to be respectful of a firearm as a tool. I fully disagree with this add and if this does in fact happen then the child who steals a firearm, is in possession of a firearm unlawfully should be charged per local, state and federal laws. As gun owners in America we need to teach and preach responsibility and treat a firearm as a tool that comes with great responsibility.
