Let us relieve each other of the burden to fulfill our obligations of who we need to be for one another and who we need each other to be for ourselves. Then we can be amused at all the cruel ways in which we have missed and dismissed eachother so we could lay comfortably in a bed of unmovable beliefs. Like how for years and years we drove the same particular route over and over and failed to notice the wild flowers peeking beneath the cobblestone edging at that stop light. Or never realizing that the deep divot in the asphalt was the secret work of the old tree that had been steadily, patiently, and imperceptibly encouraging its roots under the pavement until it finally created a way to insure its own survival. Finally we see the divots, the wild flowers and we well up with tears at the shear relief of it all-for finally Seeing- for ourselves...for each other and for that graceful blink of an eye that brought us here.
