Let us study & reflect: PRIDE only leads one to the PIT Isaiah 2:11 The lofty of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. Isaiah 2:17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. The FATE that awaits to them that are PROUD: Isaiah 2:12, 18-19 For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low. And the idols he shall utterly abolish. And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for the fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. As quoted by Omar Garcia, Gods message to the proud and lofty was that they would be brought low. Through the Scripture, Gods message to the proud, haughty, and arrogant is the same: all such people will be brought low, will be humbled, and will fall. The Scripture notes no exceptions to the rule. Let us then be watchful of our ways, behavior, attitude & in our decisions that the things we presently have such as wealth, position, title, influence or power, may not blind us in our walk with our Lord God, may not give us second-thought in obeying HIM, in striving to live a life of holiness & righteousness instead may the things we presently have remind us it is HE who authored & the ultimate BLESSOR. For we all know that we are just temporarily passing in this life, in the end, GOD who is the source of EVERYTHING shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:14) As the Breath of Life is still with us, let us strive to lead & live a life that is pleasing to GOD, in everything that we do let us give HIM the glory. Let us consistently follow the examples of our Lord Jesus Christ, having the courage to resist the ways of the world, asking for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit in our daily walk for surely, we will be guided. Indeed, it is not an easy walk, it is even the hardest battle I know but then the most rewarding. For by HUMILITY & FEAR of the LORD brings riches and honour and life. Shalom!
