Letha Parker Smith of Mesquite, Texas passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 72 years. She was born Harriett R. Letha Parker on January 6, 1942 in Titus County to Tea and Dottie (McClung) Parker. Letha was of the Baptist Faith and retired from Rockwell International. She leaves her husband Roger Smith of Mesquite, Texas; son, Charles Wayne and his wife Sharyl Hubbs of Lebanon, Missouri; daughter, Sandy and her husband Bobby Quarrels of Garland, Texas; stepson, Terry Dale and his wife Christy Bryant of Mesquite, Texas; step daughter; Leah and her husband Matt Esker of Norman, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Letha “Sissy” McCann; brothers, Thomas and Eli Parker; sisters, Jewel Spears, Eugene Evers, and Lottie Davis. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Hickory Hill Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Texas. The family will receive friends 7:00 to 9:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.
