I asked her to take a photograph with me, and she did. She was sitting in a chair and it took her a very long time to stand up, just to walk the few short steps to me. But Maria believes that she will get better. She speaks sweetly and softly. She should be full of life, and yet, she is close to death. For Christmas, this precious girl deserves to live.
