Lets Help this morning Help Syrian Refugees Survive the Crisis adra.org Meet Ezra, a young widow we were able to help in Jordan through our cash assistance program. It provides people such as Ezra with the practical help they need to survive. About six months ago, Ezra’s life was devastated when her husband was killed in the Syrian conflict. After his death, she was afraid to continue living in the war-torn country and fled with her seven children to a refugee camp in Jordan. Once they got there, someone “bailed them out” of the refugee camp, but then insisted that Ezra pay them back. With no work and few resources, Ezra had to sell most of their few remaining belongings to pay the debt. Now they live in a single room outside the refugee camp, and every day is a struggle to survive. “I dread to think what would have happened to us and where we would be now without ADRA’s help. Just knowing that we don’t have to worry about rent fees for a few months releases the continuous pressure and sense of uncertainty, allowing us to focus on the many other needs that we have.” Today, families such as Ezra’s need your help.
