Lets be better than this (Parent): I am tired of politics running our schools. I am tired of the intimidation tactics being used by district administration to silence employees. I am tired of teachers being demonized and disrespected. I am tired of parents being ignored. I am tired of seeing anyone who disagrees as being labeled as a union thug. I am tired of claims with no source documents to back them up. I am tired of being labeled as a liberal, as if that is a horrible thing. I am tired of outside money having more influence than local residents. I am tired of worrying if I need to take my children to another school district in order to receive a quality education. I am tired of lies. Yes, I am tired of all of this. And I have a question for those of you who still might be on the fence - is this really what you want for your children? Do you want them to grow up treating people who they disagree with by ignoring them, labeling them, belittling them, intimidating them or lying about them? Our school district used to be better than this. We used to work together, not fight one another. This is not healthy for kids and its becoming clearer and clearer each day that our Board does not respect our teachers, parents or community. I want my kids to grow up learning to tolerate other opinions, collaborate with others even if they disagree and respect their fellow citizens. Thats why Im voting for Chase, Hodges, Keim and Scholting. Because Im tired of the destruction that has occurred in our community.
