Lets be honest: working in journalism, especially one that focuses - TopicsExpress

Lets be honest: working in journalism, especially one that focuses on human rights, foreign affairs, corporatism and social justice issues, can be depressing. It can be very easy to lose hope. The more aware I become of how the world really works and how it is fueled by greed and power by elitists that contributes to genocide, apartheid, police brutality, social inequality etc, the more I stop and think I need to shut everything out, move somewhere warm near a beach and live off the grid, on a self sustaining farm, and just forget everything. The anxiety is high knowing there is injustice anywhere. But that slightest bit of hope and inspiration that I have for making the world a better place through education, of course keeps me and many others going. Sometimes the world can be such an ugly, gruesome place, but there are also very beautiful and inspiring people who are and who have been working tirelessly to make the world a more peaceful and loving place -- those are who inspire me to keep on fighting the good fight for justice and truth.
