Lets close out a week of hilarity with a pair of revered classics, as Icons @ 8 Presents: The Comedians. The Odd Couple (1968) features the peerless pairing of Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon as the mismatched roommates. Its a magnificent comedy, tinged with sweetness, and tremendous performances from its stars. A bona fide classic! And of course the same must be said about Young Frankenstein (1974), Mel Brooks love letter to horror films, and certainly one of his best. Magnificently filmed in black and white, it stars Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Marty Feldman, Terri Garr, Madeline Kahn and Cloris Leachman.
