Lets continue with Monasteries built in/on caves in Ladakh. This one is Shargol Monastery near Kargil. One can give a quick visit off from the Leh-Srinagar Highway. This one belongs to the Gelukpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism and the temple keeper is always from the Likir Monastery. When you get here, before walking up dont forget to take the keys with you from a house just near where you park your vehicle.
