Lets discuss cycling etiquette. Yesterday I was horrified to learn - TopicsExpress

Lets discuss cycling etiquette. Yesterday I was horrified to learn that my hubby almost blew by two cyclists on Apison Pike. I wasnt with him. He said they were riding double, and he wasnt able to fully pull out into the other lane because a curve was not too far ahead and he merely wanted them to drop in single file. They knew he was behind them because he saw one turn around. Finally when they refused to drop in, he blasted the horn (no hes not pro cyclist despite being married to a triathlete). After he lid on the horn for several seconds, they dropped in single file. He was pissed by then. Anyways. Who is right? Are we legally ok to ride double even when we know a car had slowed down behind us? Seems common courtesy would be to pull in single file at that point and let the car safely pass. I was pretty ticked (and embarrassed) at his behavior but he insists the cyclists were rude. Please discuss. And dont hold back on saying he was wrong. Ive been married 20 years and know hes wrong a lot 😜.
