Lets do some thought experimentation and brainstorming. In light of Washington states recent Waiver-pulled-out-from-under-them scenario, what are the pros and cons? If we lost our Waiver, we would lose...what? The mandate of college-and-career-ready standards (aka Common Core), testing consortia (PARCC), and teacher and school evaluations? Why is that bad? Then, we could just go back to being failures under NCLB and making a bunch of noise about it, rather than working our butts off in order to, well, still be failures. Because, either way, were set up to fail. Thats just my gut reaction. Educate me!
