Lets examine, Death of a loving Child 2 Kings 4:26 New International Version Run to meet her and ask her, Are you all right? Is your husband all right? Is your child all right? ( Everything is all right, she said ) Here is the sudden death of the child. This Shunammite, a native or inhabitant of the town of Shunem north of Mt. Gilboa in ancient Palestine. Her answer was, It is well. All well, and yet the child dead in the house! ( Yes! ) All is well that God does! The Bible also tells us: Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His godly ones. ( Psalm 116:15 ) The righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart; devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. ( Isaiah 57:1-2 ) The death of a child is one of the most difficult things a parent will ever have to deal with. In fact, the death of a child is something that most people will think about every day for the rest of their lives. Grieving in a healthy way is important to help cope with this terrible loss! All children who die ( before ) they reach the condition ( not age ) of accountability by which they convincingly understand their sin and corruption and embrace the Gospel by faith are graciously saved eternally by God through the work of Jesus Christ being elect by sovereign choice, innocent of willful sin, rebellion and unbelief by which works they would be justly condemned to eternal punishment.
