Lets examine, Luke 6:48 Give, and it will be given to you This is not about ( money goods ). Read in context it makes the meaning apparent. Luke 6:35-38: “But love your enemies, do good, and lend ( Greek daneizo ) meaning borrow, lend, Jesus hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. The reading would mean: causing no one to despair by refusing aid! sons of the Highest. Note: The sons of the Highest, is the reward of noble, generous action; in to be like the Father in heaven is set before disciples as an object of achievement. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. “Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” This has nothing to do with giving money to be ( more blessed ) It has to do with mercy and grace. It is given to your bosom the inner man to make you filled. If you give another mercy or grace To have in ones bosom indicates kindness, secrecy, or intimacy ( Genesis 16:5 ) ( 2 Samuel 12:8 ) Christ is said to have been in the bosom of the Father he had the most perfect knowledge of the Father, had the closest intimacy with him ( John 1:18). John ( John 13:23 ) was leaning on Jesus bosom at the last supper. Our Lord carries his lambs in his bosom, has a tender, watchful care over them. ( Isaiah 40:11 ) He shall feed his flock like a shepherd, he shall gather the lambs with his arms, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young
