Lets hear it for momma Linda Verhine Karl. Congrats mom! Though Linda does not physically work within the walls of KCCI, she is most definitely part of our Team. Linda is the Station Specialist for KCCI and our sister station, WPBF. She is based at our traffic hub in Charlotte, NC and has been working in Traffic since 1990 joining the hub in 2010. Just because Linda is behind the scenes and based in Charlotte does not mean we do not tangibly see the hard work she does every day. Over this year (and especially leading up to the election) Linda has been meticulously diligent in commercial and promotional ad placements, clearing inventory, and going above and beyond in finding ways for sales to make the most out of our inventory in very VERY tight situations. She is terrific at seeing opportunities for us to monetize every second of our local air time. Linda is a great communicator, very patient, and a forward thinker. She is a valuable asset to KCCI and we appreciate all she does for us. Linda has been married for over forty years, and she spends a great deal of time volunteering to assist the homeless via her work with homelessangels.org (based in Michigan where she is from); making Linda an angel herself. Congratulations, Linda on being KCCI’s Employee of the Week.
