Lets hope they actually make a difference inshaAllah. Quite a few Muslim countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh and Morocco have deployed some of their own troops for the peacekeeping force. Important, seeing as the Muslim minority is the major victim of the persecution. On top of that, the Muslims in CAR often complain that the already present French keeping forces are biased towards the anti-Balaka (not surprising). I really pray that something good comes of this, although I must admit that I am doubtful. The conflict echoes much of Rwandas genocide, where peacekeepers are deployed with weak mandates and yet menawhile the world stage is still silent in shedding light on the atrocities.
