Lets just be reasonable. In the Outer Banks, N.C. you have your opportunity to place your bets on the science or nonsense of climate change. Ill place mine first...I will not pay a dime to support your beach revitalization efforts if your beach front property is inundated by the ocean. You bought it, you benefit from it, you take the risks that go with your life style choices. Your bet should be that climate change is wrong. If you are correct, then you or your heirs will not have a problem either living in your beach home or selling it to some other climate change non-believer. If you are wrong, then your option is a bad bet and you or your heirs should take your loss when it occurs, shrug your shoulders, and walk way with your memories. On the other hand, if most people believe in climate change causes erosion, then you may have a marketing problem walking away even in the near term. Ninety-seven per cent of scientists believe in global warming. That is not good. I guess the market value of your home is due to change for the adverse. I can see your need to challenge the scientists and the governments figures. But that is a sales job, isnt it? I wish you the best in the P.T. Barnum sense. But please dont call me...I am staying up here in the mountains of Georgia above the fall line where the ocean used to be and wondering whether the gnats will arrive in my remaining lifetime. Good luck with your ocean front... washingtonpost/business/economy/ncs-outer-banks-got-a-scary-forecast-about-climate-change-so/2014/06/24/0042cf96-f6f3-11e3-a3a5-42be35962a52_story.html
