Lets make 1 thing 100% clear. (And I honestly shouldnt be posting this) Lots of people assume that I pay to perform with major artist. Such as Bone Thugs this coming Friday. But what they need to realize is the hard work that I myself and most local artist that are involved with these events put in for the show and previous major shows in Kansas. Have I paid to perform? Of course! Do I pay to perform now? No! Do I get paid to perform? Yes! But all of this is nobodys business but mine and I have no problem sharing the truth with you all. Most rappers and fans of rappers talk down on the artist in Kansas that make these major moves simply out of jealousy. 50% of independent rappers pay up to $60 an hour in a studio to record. The other 50% record in a home built studio and DONT bash the ones paying? To me, this is a business. If youre only going to invest into studio time then thats all your going to have to show as an artist... Songs. From past experience I promise you that you cant just post a song on YouTube and expect to establish a fan base. Paying to perform is something I highly recommend to all up coming artist that have yet performed in front of a REAL crowd. The more songs you have, the more music you have to offer. But, the less shows you do, the less interest promoters have in you. Hobby or a career? Its up to you. I know what Im worth, can you say the same? Ive been across the United States with my music and I strongly believe Kansas is the toughest location for any independent artist to make a name in the industry. But, if somebodys going to make it big its not going to be one of you Haters.
