Lets not pretend. 2014 was not a good year for Palestine. During the summer, Israel launched Operation Protective Edge, which saw over 2, 000 Palestinians killed including 500 + children. A generation of children were left traumatised, rebuilding gaza will take decades. Many children were made orphans. Currently, Gaza has 4 hours of electricity a day. Meanwhile, checkpoints continue, illegal settlement construction continues, settler violence continues in the West Bank. There is increasing conflict, and absolutely no justice. Yesterday, a resolution failed to pass that called for an end to the occupation. Australia and US voted against the motion, whilst 5 countries, including the UK abstained from voting. We must work harder for justice, build the BDS movement and inform others of what is happening. Palestine must be free, from the river to the sea. Happy New Year to our fans.
