Lets please dont let ourselves slip into a Negative Attitude not Believing in Gods love and provisions for us. The children of Israel did that and they didnt enter into the land of Canaan. We have to keep the wonder of Gods miracles in our lives. And praise Him for all the things He has done for us. Heb 3: 12 (ESV2011) Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. Some thoughts by John Wharton November 3, 2014 Heb 3: 7 (ESV2011) Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today, if you hear his voice, Heb 3: 8 (ESV2011) do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness, Heb 3: 9 (ESV2011) where your fathers put me to the test and saw my works for forty years. Heb 3: 10 (ESV2011) Therefore I was provoked with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart; they have not known my ways.’ Heb 3: 11 (ESV2011) As I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall not enter my rest.’” Look to Israel for the example... They didnt enter in because they refused to have faith in Gods provisions... And God showed them so many examples of His power and provision... - He parted the Red Sea and they walked across on dry land.. - He gave them water from a rock.. - God dropped birds down for them to have meat.. - Manna fell from heaven so they could make bread.. But they still refused to believe God would help them conquer the land of Canaan... There was no excuse for this! They just plain had a BAD Negative Attitude always wanting God to prove Himself to them again! They really acted like spoiled little children... And they payed the price... God finally got fed up with them! And Hebrews tells us to be careful lest we get into the same Nasty Negative Attitude toward God - Heb 3: 12 (ESV2011) Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. We have to watch ourselves and make sure we keep on believing God and showing Him respect. And were told to encourage each other Daily to keep on believing in Gods goodness toward us and His provisions and blessings. Heb 3: 13 (ESV2011) But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. Because REMEMBER – were gonna make it into heaven only through Gods forgiveness and Salvation.. Heb 3: 14 (ESV2011) For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end. So as long as its today...lets hear Gods voice and listen to Him. PLEASE Dont let yourself slip into a Negative, Critical, Unbelieving attitude against Gods love and blessings. Heb 3: 15 (ESV2011) As it is said, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” God will take us through it all! Lets please keep on believing in Him and His goodness.
