Lets say you buy a condo. All owners within your condo - TopicsExpress

Lets say you buy a condo. All owners within your condo development vote for a managerial board, to act on the owners behalf to make important decisions about maintenance. You pay a maintenance fee to that condo association for setting rules, regulations and for continuing general upkeep. Now, lets say there is a neighboring condo development, which has its own condo board. Perhaps the 2 condo boards could negotiate exchanges...We will assist you with this X (paying for repairs), in exchange for Y (letting us use your pool)... Okay, maybe that would be negotiating a trade of sorts. You would trust your managing board to act in your collective groups best interests, for the sake of an agreeable exchange. But what if you woke up, one day, and both condo associations had sold both developments--to a random collection of offshore businessmen, without consulting anyone? What if these offshore businessmen had created new laws that claimed they had a right to level your building and provide no further housing or compensation...and if you didnt comply, they would extort you for more cash. What would you call that? Criminal? Well, you see there is this common misconception that a corporate sponsored trade deal is between countries...and that citizens are trusting their governments to negotiate reasonable exchanges with other countries, for the well being of their citizens. (Use my first condo example as an analogy.) Unfortunately, corporate trade deals are NOT between countries--they are between governments and private companies...and citizens are not given a say in the process of negotiation...and it is OUR RESOURCES that are being auctioned off as collateral. (Refer to my second condo scenario as an analogy.) Our governments are essentially bargaining away our labor, wages, safety and internet communications to random CEOs...who replace our local and national regulation laws with whatever they feel like, in their new offshore court systems--or extort us. So when you hear someone debate the merits of a corporate trade deal...realize that there is little to no fair trade actually occurring in these arrangements...our governing bodies are selling our resources into a system of EXTORTION. #StopTPP #NoFastTrack #Extortion #WorldCup To learn more, please visit: https://facebook/events/359507710860008/
