Lets see how many middle schoolers from the class of 2019 (8th grader) that will thank theyve all the sense in the world by just skating by with a 2.3 GPA just to play football and then decides to get serious spring of their senior year and aim for a 2.5 or greater GPA. You kids dont realize during your freshman and sophomore years, college coaches are forming their recruiting boards for junior season and not to mention, recruiting companies are releasing their Top 100 your junior season for the subscribers so they knoe who to look for come your senior year, and the ones without grades just missed out on the process. Now, youre a senior trying to ball out and get noticed, but guess what? College programs have already structure their recruiting boards and now you have to hope kids decommit and dont qualify to have a shoot at an offer. Better yet, if youre taking your test late in December of your senior year without a coach with strong ties at the next level, good luck. Lets see how many of you kids from the class of 2019 will listen. To make matters worst. Some of these student-athletes attend high schools where the coach will tell you its not my job to get you in college and now youre upset asking everyone for help. The morale of this post is handle your business inside the classroom from day one and select the right coach who places a number of kids at the next level year in and out. Theres talent everywhere, and a college football coach will not waste their time on a kid whos not serious about their grades.
