Lets start having the discussion about the link between ICE and workplace drug testing. People, who once upon a time, used to smoke pot, are now smoking ice because it is out of your system in 12-24 hours. Make no mistake one is relatively benign, and one is a highly addictive nasty chemical that destroys lives. I have seen this first hand, and know the reasoning for smoking can, in some cases be attributed to workplace drug testing. People who smoke pot have been demonised and a corporate witch hunt has been executed for what reason I do not know. The companies have the option to do a piss test which does not tell if a person is under the influence, but only if you have ingested pot it in the last month, as grass is detectable in the body for up to a month after ingesting. They also have the option of doing a swab test, which will show if a person is impaired in the workplace, but only shows the last 12 hours of pot use. For whatever reason the corporations/bosses usually use piss testing in the workplace, which does not even tell if people are stoned on the job or not. This creates an avenue for people to seriously think about not smoking weed and to take up smoking ICE. This has got to stop and the people in the corporations who are pushing these tests on workers need to be brought to justice for the misery and destruction, they have caused to our society. Like I said, and anyone else who has worked in places like the Pilbara will tell you, I have seen this happening first hand. Its an epidemic! They were better off allowing people to have a puff of hooch at night or on the weekend.
