Lets talk about phases for a minute. One of the most important - TopicsExpress

Lets talk about phases for a minute. One of the most important lessons Ive learned in parenting so far is that everything is just a phase. The good things, the bad things, they are all temporary. The way they first wave, ends up changing. The way they say oooo so adorably will eventually change to mooo as they grow. The waking up in the middle of the night for more milk eventually turns into a peaceful nights sleep. I get it. SO, why do I always FORGET it when were going through one? :-) Right now, my 19 month old is hitting other kids, kicking us when we change his diaper, and generally being defiant. He has no understanding of discipline. When we do timeout or yell (not my proudest moment), he just smiles or laughs. Nothing can deter him from the behavior. This too shall pass, right? Just like all the others?
