Lets talk about some travel gear/bags. (1) You will need a suitcase that you can personally carry up and down steps (even if it rolls) when fully packed. Its best if its about 22 or less. It can be a standard pullman bag, a hard-sided bag, or a rolling duffel. Remember--less is more when packing! (2) you will need a backpack (daypack), messenger bag, or something similar to use as a carry on and also take with you on our daily outings. It must be comfortable enough for you to carry while walking several miles, big enough to hold your laptop or tablet, a couple of books and notepad and a sweater, and your camera. (3) Your wallet while traveling needs to be a small bag or pouch that you keep close to your body when in the cities, even under your clothes or jacket. You dont carry your wallet in your backpack--it needs to stay on your body at all times. Together, that trio should be all that you bring with you on the trip.
