Lets talk motivation right here. Carolyn came to me over 300 lbs seeking change and guidance. I took the formula on her that I do any client now days and that is I have no system or strategy I put on her. Systems are great guides but alway have limits. The human being has no limits other than what we put on them. So rather than fitting her in some box I spend the first month learning the client. We started her out with with a basic diet. Nothing extreme because we dont want her to go in to starvation or her body to go in a panic mode. We want to start with a healthy way of living and life style. Already her first month shes lost about 15lbs. Now even if she loses just ten lbs a month you get the idea of what happens in a year. Two her works out we started very slow. She wasnt expecting or used to some one pulling her back at first but why rush it and injur her. Right now her body is carrying more weight than is healthy or comfortable to her structure. So we need to get her body to understand that she will feel better and less stressed in much lighter vehicle. Rushing the training or the diet wont make for a quicker result. It will over tax the body and create this life style or level of daily performance that is just not maintainable. So our first goal is to get healthy, take our time to make the body functional and once its ready then we will give a real diet. Then the really hard training comes when the body, muscles and joints are all on the same level. If the muscles are stronger than the joints your headed towards a crash. So now the fun stuff begins. We push her ad far as we can and once we reach our goal then just like after a show we will reverse diet her back In to a nice healthy life style she can manage. Carolyn can j squat and lunge with the best of them while putting very little no stress on her joints. Remember when doing lunges. Always lead by dropping the back leg. Take a step fear then drop the back leg/knee down and the pressure wont go to your front knee. Trust me you will make all types of long term gains that way. Good luck;)
