Lets think of Mario Brothers game. Oh boy, that was the first game I played when Nintendo had that big grayish box, remember? It was then I realized I had no skill for these games. Lol! Well, remember how you would need to gather points? As the game progressed you would try to collect these points as you gained lives or power. The more you collected the more chances you had to succeed in your journey. I see people, events, circumstances and things the same way. Dont get me wrong, we should not use people or events to get things, however if you are open to the experience you will learn valuable lessons that help you along the way. Imagine this, youre in a meeting. You are at a table with people you might know as well as some you dont. As the meeting or training progresses you form a connection to some more than others. You dont intentionally pick or reject; it may seem as you do but its really a force, an attraction. This force makes you gravitate to specific people, things and events. You are curious and even intrigued by them. The funny thing about this is that this connection is not always pleasing, in fact some might test and push you past your comfort zone. Wait! What do you mean I am drawn to someone who will annoy me? Yes, you are! You see we connect because like Mario in the game we need something that only that person or thing can give us. It is not something you take but something you learn. Some people come to us to serve as our mirror, In them we see what we dislike in ourselves and when we recognize it, we can fix it. Some people come to remind us to stay humble, to appreciate and value the blessings in our lives. Some people come to remind us of a dream of the life we wanted to have but thought we could never achieve. Some people come to show us that the limitation we proclaim is just in our thinking. Some people come to remind us about humanity, kindnesses, love and respect. Some come to show us how wonderful we truly are. We gravitate to the lesson, a lesson meant for us at that time. Be open, connect with the world because in all that you encounter be it good or not so good, you will pick up something you need for your journey toward better!
