Letter 2 the youth: (Sorry its so long, I just had 2 vent & speak my mind.) Let me ask you some questions? Whats the benefits in a Gang ? I have yet 2 find out.... Do they fund you for school? Do they push you thru college? Do you receive free food and meal 2 eat? Do they cloth you and provide you with shelter? .... What I learned from my experience as an .... NO Future, NO Positivity, NO Job Employment, NO Education, NO betterment for the community or communities you reside in & etc(list goes on & on). Two main words gangs produce, Incarceration & Death ! Gangs break up groups of people within ones own race(In Chicago mostly African-American & Latino) & the GOAL is 2 basically kill each other. But why? To take over a block or section that you dont even own legally? You think you have enough members to fight the U.S military? Or take over and conquer the world? For some its hard 2 CHANGE because so many close friends have fell victim 2 the streets. So if you ask all 2 drop there HATE for one another and urge for revenge/or retaliation and come together is it impossible? Im sorry you lost your friend, brother, cousin, sister, mother or father..... But thats the only way it can be changed... WE have 2 let GOD just deal with what that individual with the Gun that choose 2 decide 2 take a life. Its not your place...... All of us will die, its not upon you 2 decide who goes and who stays for this short time on this earth. Bringing more death doesnt bring them back..... WE have 2 stop letting the word Gang divide us as a people. So many things could be done if we UNITE! Your parents, grandparents, and ancestors didnt FIGHT for this 2 occur! Life can be enjoyed & kids can grow up! But as long as people think its cool & parents just let there child just go free into the wild, the cycle will continue! It will stay the same...... There are also more brothers apart of gangs now with no parents as well... MEN & strong WOMEN we have 2 talk 2 them and try at least. As much as we spend on social network, that time could be helping reaching out to the YOUTH!
