Letter From Pastor Matt: Staff Changes, 2 services, and Christmas Eve Details! Hey VOX, With the growth of VOX intensifying in both numbers and systems, I plan to communicate with you directly as we move through the next few months. As your Pastor, it is important that as we make changes, you are on the inside loop of what is happening and when. With that said, I would like to communicate two major changes and our plan for Christmas Eve. Staff Changes: In the last few weeks, Pete and Alison Martinez and VOX Church have cut ties. Pete was serving as our part-time worship/arts director and Alison was my assistant and led several of our ministries. We would not be where we are as a church without the leadership of Pete in the area of worship and Alison in many other areas of our church. I love this family and loved serving with them, as did our staff. With that said, I feel this will be a healthy transition for VOX as we build upon the tremendous work this couple did. (Pete will continue cleaning part-time at the church). In the wake of these changes along with the Elders desire to equip VOX for the future of our growing church; we would like to introduce you to three new paid staff members at VOX Church: David Price- Full Time Worship/Arts Director (will be starting in early/mid December) [email protected] Emily Barc- Assistant to the Lead Pastor (started last week) [email protected] Michelle Odoefer- Administrative Assistant / general church secretary (started last week) [email protected] Let’s pray for the transition of Pete and Alison Martinez and for new staff members as they step up to serve VOX Church! 2 services: Last week at our monthly meeting, the VOX Elders unanimously decided to add an additional worship service sometime after the turn of the year. Over the past few months we have been dealing with full parking lots, classrooms, and close to full seating for our 10 am service. We sincerely apologize for these inconveniences and are working in the meantime to equip our parking, children’s, and guest service teams to assist you as you come to worship at VOX. Before another service is added, we want to get David Price (the new Worship/Arts director) into a groove with his new role and the Sunday morning teams ready with their systems and rosters to handle another service. Two services will stretch VOX. Like you, I love seeing everyone in the room at the same time. We are a family and there is nothing better than worshipping together. With that said, our comfort should never deter us from being a church with the ability to seat and serve whoever and however many people God brings into VOX Church. In the coming months, we will be communicating the exact launch date and weekly time of this new service. Christmas Eve: This year, VOX Church will host two Christmas Eve Services at 3 pm and 5 pm. Both services will be an hour long and for the entire family (the services will be very “kid friendly”). Our theme for the Christmas Eve services and the Sunday morning services in December is ADVENT, THE ARRIVAL OF PERFECT.
