Letter for ArchDaily. Hi Friends of Archdaily, Im a student of archtecture and have a great esteem for your page. I noticed , and this made me enthusiastic, whith some posts of futuristic archtecture made by some visionary archtects and students, also engineers. Years ago, I participated in a competition entitled Artspace, where participants could express their ideas about the future of architecture in the centuries to come. This contest are promoted by Cgtalk, one of the bests sites of C.G. My topic was an artificial island which contained a Space Elevator base. This type of engineering is being extensively researched by the aerospace industry and will soon have its use on a large scale. My vision would be to use the Space Elevator for Tourism which would cover an artificial island with resort where people could spend their vacation enjoying the sea and also travel to the stratosphere.
