Letter from America:- just emailing because I have not heard from you in quite a while. I hope everyone with or without the Sathe surname is very well and that January 26 Republic Day is enjoyable for all to watch on TV. Many years ago with the State of Emergency of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in effect, I chanced to be in Delhi on that day and did succeed in seeing the parade in person. I was impressed that absolutely no one cheered the arrival in a military jeep of Madame Prime Minister. Later that year, I was unsurprised when she lost in a general election. The public was so frosty to her. It is said that this year, Obama will be in the parade and speculation in the USA is that his security detail will insist that he, and P.M. Narendra Modi who wants to ride with him, shall ride in Obamas (highly-equipped) car, not an Indian car. We shall see. If a problem arose, I suppose they would take him to All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, whereas if he were sick or injured in Bombay the best place would be Jaslok Hospital. Back when I studied medicine you will recall I visited India and spent a couple of months at a Christian hospital in Dhamtari, M.P. Well, I arrived in Bombay first and before leaving Bombay, I did have the privilege of joining Neurology rounds at Jaslok one afternoon, and came away most impressed. Absolutely a world-class hospital. Hope to hear from you soon. Once more, happy 2015! My reply:- we would like to see Obama in India on 26th. People are shouting all over the nation why such security to hi. I have on FB written that he is our invited guest and a leader of a nation with home Muslim countries are fighting. His security is first duty of Indian and Modi is taking every precaution to do all necessary measures. Modi was also given deserved security. Why not to Obama. If we invite some one we decorate house and given proper welcome Why he should not be given?
