Letter from Roger Holden who work for City of Edgewood Deb and Ming, Would you pass this on the the artists you think might be interested? Thank you, Roger Holden In response to several conversations with Senator Sue Beffort, RETRO is sponsoring the formation of an East Mountain Arts Alliance. We are hoping to gather an active group who will represent all the art forms being practiced in the East Mountains. We are most interested in providing an affordable location for artists in which they can create, display and sell their work. Best case scenario would provide a building suitable for several studio spaces, areas for teaching public and private classes, gallery space and a possible retail space which could support a large percentage of the rent. We are looking now in the Moriarty area along Rt. 66. We hope to have a formation meeting in the next month to 6 weeks to accurately determine interest and our need for space. We see this as an opportunity for artists to exchange information, promote and sell their work in an affordable manner, teach their craft to students of all ages and to become active in the communities that support them. If you know anyone who has expressed an interest in an idea like this, could benefit from this opportunity, or has some constructive ideas for the formation of a group, please pass on this contact info to them: Relivetheroute66@gmail
