Letter of Invitation Her Excellency Rima Ahmad Alaadeen Jordanian Ambassador to Australia Saturday 22nd March 2014 Your Excellency, As the Secretary, it is with pleasure that I inform you of our upcoming annual conference of the Asia Pacific Tourist & Heritage Rail Organisation to be held from 2-6 May 2014 in the city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. I have graciously accepted the invitation of Jordan Hijaz Railways General Manager, Mr Allouzi, to our conference, and am excited with the representation of Jordan at our international conference. The association has recently reformed its constitution, and is in the process of forming a legal body under the Incorporated Associations Act [Queensland] 1981, and is anticipating the forthcoming year will be a year for positive financial growth and expanding our presence in Taiwan. Next year is 265 years since Mr James Watt invented the first steam engine, and so the next year is an important time for all heritage tourist rail organisations around the world, and it is important we continue to promote the marvels that came about from the Industrial Revolution, to our younger generation. I hope this conference will be an exciting opportunity to put Jordan Hijaz Railways as a credible tourist and industry operator on the international stage. I have asked Vice-President Mr Kibu Hseih to forward a program for your interest. If you are able to assist our conference in any way, either sponsorship for Jordanian GM Mr. Allouzi, or in a diplomatic role by attending to build relations between Australia, Asia and Jordan, it would be graciously appreciated.
