I especially like the following statement: Its what our business was founded on and still sets us apart. Strong connections power our success and motivate us to be better and do more every day. Each choice we make is an opportunity to reinforce these ties and put our values into action. Together, we can build a brighter future. With this eloquent mission statement in mind, I am writing to you on behalf of the Palestinian American Council and the entire Palestinian Community and thousands of supporters of American values, to express our outrage at the statement made by Joan Rivers that Palestinians deserve to be dead. Your companys continued affiliation with Mrs. Rivers is an affront to not only the Palestinian community and to millions of Americans, but also to this mission statement,. The rant that Mrs. Rivers bellowed against innocent Palestinian children being killed was uncalled for from such a public figure. Her statement expressing a desire that Palestinians should be dead was utterly despicable. By now your operators have received and will continue to receive thousands of calls from our members complaining of your companys association with Mrs. Rivers. We call upon your company to divest itself from the Joan Rivers product line on both your cable channel and on your web page. Let us work together for a better tomorrow. Let us nurture a strong connection to motivate all of us to be better. Make the choice to send a signal to all those who espouse hate that it will not be tolerated in this day and age.
