Letter to Senator Mark Pryor: Hi I have cable, and a cable ready TV, which up until last week was able to pick up HD channels off of the cable, and up until last year, I could pick up analog channels off of the cable with my old TV. Now that is all gone, and Comcast wants me to pay an extra $9.95/mo and use a special cable box which means I need two remotes, one for the TV and one to change channels. I also lose all program information that I used to be able to see by pressing the Display button. Now I have no idea what I am watching. Can you do something to make sure that all cable providers provide basic analog and cable ready TV channels with a reasonable number of HD channels to basic cable subscribers? I can of course, switch to satellite TV, and get 100 HD channels for about $45/mo less than what I am paying for no HD channels, but why would the FCC allow cable to make people use a cable box? Thanks
