Letter to a Dead Beat parent... Children are living breathing human beings - not cute little puppies that you leave on a street corner, drop with relatives, or abandon when you get tired of the responsibility. They are a life long commitment.You are self servant and engrossed with your own feelings, your playtime, your money,and only interested in what you want. You care about no one but yourself. Often times you run when found, hide behind other people, organizations, and unfortunately act as the wolf in sheeps clothing sometimes hiding behind scripture to substantiate your actions. Justice is karma the cost of your drama. Now, stop yourself and look at these children .. They are happy, is it because of you? They are respectful, that because of you? They have kind hearts and warm souls, is that because of you? They are caring and sharing, is that because of you?They are well mannered, is that because of you? They know how to swim, kick the soccer ball, dance, use their imagination and many other things, is that because of you? They know their ABCs and 123s, is that because of you? They know how to read and write, is that because of you? We know you can honestly answer NO to all of these questions. You have nothing to do with their upbringing, you dont even put forth effort. You dont call, or even write when you log onto your facebook EVERYDAY. You come with your excuses and sob stories as their only gifts. How sad is that. Are you even providing the simplest thing, LOVE? That doesnt cost a thing and yet you cant even handle that. When is the last time you called and said I love you? When is the last time you said Im proud of you? Where were you at Christmas and when their Birthdays came around, what happened?Not a card or anything, instead you come up with this ggod awful story to why you couldnt. How selfish is that? Kids grow up, you cant have memories if you dont create them. Kids will form their own opinions on the situations at hand, which they already have, sad for you because you will never get to know them. Your silence will not affect ourchildren,it only will affect your relationship with them. So when you ask me to see the situation from your point of view, I simply will let you know I can NOTget my head that far up my ***! Grow up and be a man, then try earning the title Dad for as of now you have not the right nor the privilage toclaim it. So when you wake up one day with all your regret, please dont ever forget, you are the one that caused all your problems to manifest, because you forgot about the one thing that would have made you the best, YOUR CHILDREN!!!
