He grew up in Jerusalem, was deeply committed to the Hebrew Scriptures, was educated by the foremost Rabbi of his day and thoroughly trained in the Torah of his fathers. He described himself as a Jew and a Pharisee, and the Jews as his nation. He observed Torah, kept the Commandments of Moses, worshipped with the Jews all his life, and never taught the Jews to abandon their traditions. His name was Saul of Tarsus...
