Let’s Celebrate… ---> PA Baconfest Where: Pennsylvania, U.S. When: 8th Nov – 9th Nov 2014 PA Bacon Fest is not your average festival, for a few reasons. First, it’s only a couple years old; it started in 2012. Secondly, Bacon Fest is run by two full-time employees and the assistance of dozens of volunteers; it’s operated by a nonprofit in a small Pennsylvania city. It emerged from the Easton Farmers’ Market’s schedule of seasonal, food-centric festivals—think strawberries, tomatoes, apples. Thirdly, because the first day of Bacon Fest runs concurrently with the Easton Farmers’ Market—which happens to be the oldest, continuously operating open-air market in the country—you’ll have the opportunity to purchase local, sustainable, fresh organic bread, produce, cheese, meat and other more. Another draw is the fact that the festival and most of its activities are free. The bacon, however, is not! You could buy bacon jam, bacon-stuffed pretzels, sample bacon cupcakes, and purchase chocolate covered bacon—that’s just for starters. Many of the regular market vendors simply amped-up their production line to include the pig in some way, whether in fudge, a cheese dip, or a cinnamon roll—or in one of 14 different varieties of bacon itself. Even the vegan soup vendor, V-lish, got into the act and created a fake bacon dish with eggplant. Plenty of vendors and local restaurants showed up, selling bacon jam, bacon Bloody Marys, bacon pizza, bacon wings, bacon polenta, and many, many more… To book your break to this event, contact us at letstakeabreak.in/contact.html Let’s Take A Break to Pennsylvania – You Deserve It!
